Simple Future - Futuro Simples "Will"

Futuro - Tempo verbal que utilizamos para expressar ações que ainda não aconteceram.

Na língua Inglesa encontramos alguns verbos auxiliares que são usados para expressar um tempo  Futuro, cada um deles desempenham um papel diferente.
Nesse post vamos conhecer o Futuro Simples que é conjugado com o modal auxiliar "Will".

Sua estrutura é simples, vamos começar pelo modo afirmativo:


Sujeito + auxiliar modal (will) + verbo principal + complemento

- I will wait for you in the front of the College.
   (Esperarei por você em frente à Faculdade).

- They will help us when they have a time.
  (Eles nos ajudarão quando tiverem tempo).

- She will only be at home next month.
  (Ela só estará em casa no mês que vem).

Obs.: A forma contraída de  will é 'll.

I will follow you. --> I'll follow you.
You will follow us.  --> You'll follow us.



Modo negativo:

Sujeito + will not (won't) + verbo principal + complemento.

- Rachel won't come.
   (Rachel não virá).

- I think it will not rain in the day of your marriage.
  (Acho que não choverá no dia do seu casamento).

- He won't go with us.
  (Ele não irá conosco).


Modo interrogativo:

Will (ou Won't) + sujeito + verbo principal + complemento.

- Will he travel abroad?
   (Ele viajará para o exterior?)

- Won't you give a chance?
  (Você não me dará uma chance?)

- Where will you spend your vacation?
  (Onde você passará as férias?)

 Observação: Com a primeira pessoa do singular "I" e a primeira do plural "We", é possível substituir o will por shall. Esta é a forma mais comum em perguntas, oferecimentos, sugestões e convites. 

A forma shall também é considerada mais formal. Em um próximo post explicaremos melhor.

- Shall we order? 

  (Vamos fazer o pedido?)

- Shall we go? 

  (Vamos?)

- Shall we dance? 

  (Vamos dançar?)

E quando usamos o "will"?

1 - Previsões simples. Geralmente com expressões de incerteza sobre algum evento futuro.

     - I Think ... (E acho que...)

     - Probably, ... (Provavelmente, ...)

     - I guess... (Eu acho...)

     - I'm not sure, but I think... (Não tenho certeza, mas eu acho que...)

     - Maybe... (Talvez...)

     - Expect... (Espero...)

                       I think I will go by bus.  (Acho que irei de ônibus)

                       Brazil will win the next World Cup. (O Brasil ganhará a próxima Copa do Mundo).

2 - Decisões que foram tomadas no momento em que a pessoa está falando.

     - Jessica: My house is a mess! I need to clean all the rooms.

        (minha casa está uma bagunça! Preciso limpar todos os cômodos).

     - Paul: I'll help you. 

        (eu te ajudarei/ eu te ajudo)

     - Wait for me. I'll back in ten minutes.

       (Espere for mim. Voltarei em 10 minutos).

     - You dropped your wallet. No worries, I'll get it.

       (Você derrubou sua carteira. Não se preocupe, eu pego.)

    - Hey, let me check something here. I'll call you later. 

      (Hey, me deixe checar algo aqui.  Eu te ligo mais tarde.)
